Description: The California State Capitol complex serves as host to the current state government and witness to the history of the great state of California. Within the borders of the capitol complex sits the Governors Office, Senate and Assembly chambers, a museum, and huge, lush park. Monuments in this area are numerous as well as in the surrounding area. Touring the capitol complex and surrounding area could take the better part of a day. It's central location makes it a logical starting point in exploration of the Downtown Sacramento Area. The public can take tours or explore the outside area at their leisure.
